To All Our Family and Friends,

Well, it's another start to an Olympic Season. Casey and I can't believe it's already been 4 years since the Salt Lake Winter Olympic Games!!

Casey has been training hard and strong all summer long in Salt Lake City, Utah. The U.S. team has been back and forth from Milwaukee's Pettit National Ice Center each month and will continue this through the fall World Cup Trials at the end of October.  Casey has been busy riding his road bike, lifting weights, doing dry land trainings, and skating on the oval ice. I've been working with my amazing directors and staff at Sylvan Learning and Kea's been ridding our house of shadows and lights! J  Casey, of course, joined our local hunt club this past spring and has taken Kea out at least twice each month for exercise and relaxation. For those of you who are Cabella fans, the latest and greatest store has opened just 15 minutes south of our home.  And a Cabella's trip has been a regular occurrence each weekend when we are both home!

It is now the middle of October, and we have just returned from a 12-day road trip to Calgary full of training, hunting and visiting old friends.  If it wasn't snowing and freezing cold, Casey and Jeremy would have been in the Bow River fishing for trout for sure.  We had a wonderful opportunity to stay with Casey's 2002 coach, Sean Ireland and his family.  We were back with the old gang and it felt like we had never left.  Casey enjoyed being back with the Canadian guys, training hard, smart and fast.  After returning on Sunday, Casey took off for Colorado Springs on Monday for the US Olympic Committee's Media Summit.  He is currently in Milwaukee training and gearing up for practice races on the next two weekends. The U.S. World Cup Trials will be held at the Pettit National Ice Center October 21-23.  Casey has pre-qualified for both the 500m and 1000m races for the Fall World Cups and will be skating that weekend as training.  All are invited to come out and see the National Team qualifier.

The Fitz's hope to see you in Milwaukee in October as well as over the Thanksgiving weekend for the World Cup! The majority of the skaters at the World Cup will be skating in the Olympics in Torino.  So come on out and let's cheer our hometown boy to victory. The Fitz Team has been busy looking for accommodations in Torino for February, and we are getting close to making secure plans.  We are lucky to have my old partner from Sylvan joining us on our adventures.  She lived in Italy for 2 years right around Torino and speaks fluent Italian! We are so excited to have her come and experience the Olympics Fitz style!

I'm excited to say this season is starting off with a bang, and Casey is on track with his Olympic Year Plan! We are fortunate to have so many competitions in the U.S. this season and two are in Milwaukee!  YIPPEE! We'd like to thank everyone for their support and prayers. Without our family and friends, we wouldn't be able to the things we do!

Hugs and Kisses,

Jennifer Fitz
