Greetings all!!
Casey has been in Japan since Monday after a short trip back to Calgary to check up on our puppy and train with his training group! He will be competing in practice races over
in Japan this Saturday to get ready for next weekend's World Sprint Championships. I will let you know how he fairs, if I get results. He is very excited about his performances this year so far! I am so very
proud of his accomplishments, he is such a strong man both physically and mentally! I am so happy for him!
As one of the most wonderful Christmas gifts I have ever received, I too, will be joining Casey in Japan this coming Monday for the week. Thank you Ruthie and Jeff for your
kind and generous gift. :) The Fitz's, Jessi, her boyfriend Nate, and myself will be staying with our Japanese family in Japan. Jeff is one of the Official Starters for the competition. The rest of us will
be seeing Tokyo, Nagano and the surrounding area as well as the World Championships during our stay. I am so very very excited!!!
If you would like updates from Saturday and Sunday's world competition before I get back, I encourage you to look at the ISU website, isu.org. Go to speedskating-long track.
Then find the competition results for January 17 and 18th, the World Sprint Championships in Nagano, Japan. This competition they will be combining all four races to crown the overall sprint champion. Just
like they did in Milwaukee, for the national championships.
I will write again when I return from Japan! Think fast thoughts all next weekend!
