Newsletter:

Hello Friends!

The countdown continues....15 days until Opening Ceremonies. And the
excitement continues to build. It has been a bit like Grand Central Station
around the Fitz household. We will be ready for some major relaxation once
we set on our way to the Olympics. Not that one could call that relaxing,
but we do look forward very much to the change of pace and rises and falls
in the adrenaline level.   Keep checking into caseyfitz.com as I am hoping
to twist some arms out in SLC and get a few "volunteers" from the "Fitz
Pack" to submit articles to the newsletter.  I also plan to make some
contributions myself.  If I figure out my new digital camera, I just might
subject you to some amateur photography as well. If you have any special
requests, feel free to go to the "Guest Book" link to leave a message, and
we'll take them into consideration.

I want to pass along a big thank-you from Casey to all of the people who are
supporting him in one way or another, in particular to the many folks who
faxed him in Norway, sent e-mails and e-cards of congratulations, best
wishes and birthday wishes.  He was truly touched by the many people who
took time to express their sentiments. He knows you will understand his
reasons for not responding to each of you personally.  He's a man on a
mission these days.

Jeff and I also enjoyed the many positive vibes that we received after being
named as SOUPer Parents for Speedskating by Campbell's Soup. We knew
nothing about this program prior to being named, and the surprise made it
all the sweeter. We actually have the chance to medal as SOUPer
Parents...so there is more than one medal contender in the family.   :-)

Check out the TV programs if you have the chance. If Wide World of
Sports shows Casey's first 500 m with Takeda, you will probably breathe a
sigh of relief along with us when Takeda falls.  He came
oh-so-close....could have been nasty.

P.S. Eat SOUP!  (Campbells, of course!  mmm-mmm-good!)    :-D
