Casey raced his 1500m race this morning at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee. He started his race with one of the fasted split times of the day...23.99seconds. He
nailed his race plan up until the last lap when his legs just didn't have the juices left. He said later, "This is the first race in my 25 year career that I came around the last corner and just laughed
out loud to myself. I couldn't speedskate anymore. My legs were dead." He crossed the line to finish in 9th place in the 1500m at the National Championships. Not too shabby for a sprinter.
Casey is prequalified for the Sprint World Championships held in Salt Lake City this January 22-23. And I am excited to host the directors of our Sylvan Learning Center Family
in Utah for Saturday's races!! The organizing committee has also very generously donated 250 children's tickets to our students! Thank You!!
He is also prequalified in his 500m and 1000m races for the Winter World Cups held in Calgary and Europe.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Milwaukee this morning. It was great catching up on your family's happenings! Have an amazing holiday season, and we hope you all have a
chance to spend it with wonderful family and friends as we do!
